Anshul Tanwar

Principal Engineer, CISCO

As Principal Engineer in Cisco, his role is to conceive ideas with focus on business value, build mindshare, and drive these from concept to demonstration and finally to products. During his career span of 20+ years, he has architected and built numerous networking products based on various ASICs/NPUs for large tier-1 enterprises and mobile service providers across the world. He led Cisco’s Transport and xHaul strategy to migrate mobile service providers to 5G and drove the architecture definition & deployment of timing synchronization services for one of the world’s largest Service Provider network, to deliver “Phase” as required by LTE/LTE-A networks.

Anshul has over 5 patent applications and is an active member of Patent Approval Board for Cisco. He is a recipient of “Cisco Technology Fund” to conceptualize SP Access-Virtualization for Cisco. He plays a role of technical mentor for Cisco Launchpad, which is an early stage start-up accelerator.

In recent times, Anshul has been driving code vulnerability detection using ML techniques along with other AI/ML use cases within Cisco.
