An Ethical Future with Artificial Intelligence
There is much concern – and even fear – in the world today that artificial intelligence may have a negative impact on society. Some predictions go so far as to say that artificial intelligence will destroy the human race. IEEE, and particularly the IEEE Standards Association, is proposing a solution that will help ensure that artificial intelligence will serve humanity through ethical design practices. In this speech, Karen Bartleson will describe the IEEE’s proposal in which everyone can play an important part.
